Madison Alcalay is a Verifier Intern at Kestrel Verifiers, responsible for assisting the analyst team in writing external reviews under the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) standards. She also aids in evaluating competitive market deals for our pre-qualification service through Ipreo by IHS Markit.

Ms. Alcalay recently graduated with a degree in molecular environmental biology and marine science, and will be pursuing a master’s degree in climate change and conservation at the University of California, Berkeley. Her background in environmental science brings a unique perspective to researching green, social and sustainability bonds. Ms. Alcalay recently prepared an independent research report on the creation of green bonds to better understand their role in financing environmental projects, and will use this knowledge to evaluate bonds at Kestrel Verifiers.
